Description

Lemon Meringue Pie

Sharp tongue, sweet finish.

Zest three lemons straight into the pot and the whole kitchen sits up. The curd cooks low and slow, stirred until it turns thick and glossy and coats the back of the spoon, so tart the first taste tightens your jaw. Pour it in while it's still warm, into a crust baked golden and short, the kind that snaps at the edge and goes soft right where the curd soaks in.

Then the meringue. Whip it with vanilla until it stands in stiff, shiny peaks, pile it high, and swirl the top so the tips catch the heat and toast. Let the whole pie chill. One cold slice, a sharp bite of lemon, then a mouthful of cream-soft meringue to calm it all back down. Tart first, sweet right behind it. Nobody stops at one slice.

Here's the Tea · What You Actually SmellTap to open

Lemon Meringue Pie is a bright bakery gourmand, tart up front and soft underneath, never syrupy. It opens on sharp lemon, then thick lemon curd and toasted meringue roll in sweet and fluffy. The dry down settles into golden pie crust, vanilla and cream that stay close to the skin.

All about our Spray Perfume

Sillage

Moderate (5 out of 10)

A bright lemon trail about an arm's length out for the first hour or two, the kind people notice when you walk past. Around hour four the pie crust and vanilla pull it in close, a soft skin scent for whoever leans in.

Longevity

Short to moderate on skin

Estimated 4 to 6 hours on skin. Citrus burns off fastest, so it hangs on longer on a cardigan or scarf, and it goes further layered over the Body Butter.

Concentration

Poured at the IFRA maximum

Every Sugar Mama's scent is poured at its own IFRA maximum. Want the IFRA details? Just ask and we'll send them.

Dry Down

First 30 Minutes (Top Notes)

Lemon. Sharp, juicy and loud, like a fresh zest over the bowl. It's the brightest part of the wear, so enjoy the pucker.

30 Minutes to 3 Hours (Middle Notes)

Lemon Curd, Meringue. The long middle. The tartness rounds into something thick and sweet, and the meringue puffs it up soft. This is the part people ask about.

3 to 6 Hours (Base Notes)

Pie Crust, Vanilla, Cream. Golden and soft, with a little lemon still hanging on. It's the last crumb on the plate.

All about our Alcohol and Hydrating Aloe Body Mists

Sillage

Alcohol Mist

Intimate to moderate (4 out of 10)

A tart cloud of lemon for the first half hour, then a sweet bubble about an arm's length out. It holds on longer in a knit or on a scarf.

Hydrating Aloe Mist

Intimate (3 out of 10)

Soft and close from the first spritz, more meringue than zest. Mostly for you, and whoever leans in.

Longevity

Alcohol Mist

Short to moderate on skin

Estimated 3 to 5 hours on skin, longer on clothes. Mist it over the Body Butter and it goes further.

Hydrating Aloe Mist

Short on skin

Estimated 2 to 3 hours on skin, a little longer on clothes. A sunny reset at your desk or in the car. Layer it over the Body Butter to stretch it.

Concentration

Poured within this scent's IFRA limit

Same for both mists.

Dry Down

Alcohol Mist (Bright and Zesty)

Lemon flashes in first, then Lemon Curd and Meringue roll in right behind it and carry the middle. Pie Crust and Vanilla keep it sweet on your skin until it fades around hour five.

Hydrating Aloe Mist (Soft and Fluffy)

No alcohol kick, so the Lemon comes in gentle and the Meringue leads early. Vanilla and Cream keep it soft and close until it fades around hour three.

All about our Body Oil, Roll-On and Solid Perfume

Sillage

Body Oil

Very intimate (2 out of 10)

A soft glow of lemon cream right on the skin, noticed when someone hugs you hello. Within the first hour it settles into a skin scent.

Roll-On

Intimate to moderate (4 out of 10)

It stays where you roll it, wrists, neck and behind the ears, but the lemon carries. Noticed whenever someone leans in close.

Solid Perfume

Very intimate (2 out of 10)

A skin scent from the first swipe, lemon curd over vanilla. Your little secret, until someone gets close.

Longevity

Body Oil

Short on skin

Estimated 2 to 4 hours on skin, light on clothes since it sinks right in. Smooth it on damp skin after a shower, and it goes longer under the Spray Perfume.

Roll-On

Short to moderate on skin

Estimated 4 to 6 hours on skin. It stays put, so there's not much on clothes. Roll it over the Body Butter for extra staying power.

Solid Perfume

Short to moderate on skin

Estimated 3 to 5 hours on skin, and almost nothing on clothes. Keep it in your bag for touch-ups, and layer it over the Body Butter to stretch it.

Concentration

Poured within this scent's IFRA limits

Same for all three.

Want the IFRA details? Just ask and we'll send them.

Dry Down

Body Oil (Silky and Sweet)

No alcohol blast, so the Lemon opens low and soft. Lemon Curd and Meringue melt in fast on warm skin, then Vanilla and Cream settle into a smooth skin scent that fades around hour four.

Roll-On (Close and Steady)

A little brighter at the first roll, with the Lemon up front. Then it holds steady, Lemon Curd and Meringue in the middle, and Pie Crust and Vanilla keep it close to the skin until around hour six.

Solid Perfume (Creamy and Golden)

It melts with body heat, so the Lemon stays quiet. Lemon Curd comes through right away, the shea softens the Meringue, and Pie Crust and Cream keep it warm until it fades around hour five.

Concentration

Hair-safe strength

Poured to the IFRA limit for hair on this scent, which is set much lower than for skin. Light, clean, and made to sit pretty in your hair.

Dry Down

Hydrating Hair Mist & Hair Wave Mist (Clean and Light)

A light first mist of Lemon, then Meringue comes through soft. Vanilla leaves a clean, sweet warmth in your hair until it fades around hour three.

Argan Gloss Hair Mist (Glossy and Bright)

A brighter first spray of Lemon, then Lemon Curd and Meringue give it a thick, sweet middle. Pie Crust and Vanilla leave a soft shine that lasts until around hour four.

Argan Milk Hair Mist (Creamy and Soft)

Soft from the start, so the Lemon barely shows. Meringue and Cream melt into the argan for a smooth finish, and Vanilla keeps it cozy until around hour three.

Sillage

Intimate (3 out of 10)

Worn all over, so it carries a little more than you'd expect, a soft lemon glow for the first hour. Then it settles into a sweet skin bubble.

Longevity

Short on skin

Estimated 2 to 4 hours on skin. It carries onto your sheets and sweaters, and it's the best base to layer the Spray Perfume or Body Mist over.

Concentration

Poured within this scent's IFRA limit

Made for skin, head to toe.

Dry Down

First 30 Minutes (Top Notes)

Lemon. Softer than the spray, since there's no alcohol to lift it. A bright hello while you smooth it in.

30 Minutes to 2 Hours (Middle Notes)

Lemon Curd, Meringue. The shea wraps around the curd, so the tartness turns round and fluffy instead of sharp on warm skin.

2 to 4 Hours (Base Notes)

Pie Crust, Vanilla, Cream. It lands warm and close, a golden crust under sweet cream. This is the part you catch on your wrist all afternoon.

The Layering Lab · Mix & MatchTap to open

One pie, four slices. Keep Lemon Meringue Pie at the center, then take it fruitier, more floral, smokier, or fresher.

Raspberry Meringue Tart

Lemon Meringue Pie +

Raspberry Jam brings its juicy, playful pop, so the Lemon Curd turns ruby-bright and the Meringue tastes like it was swirled with jam. The Pie Crust and Vanilla keep every bite sweet and grounded. Wear it to Saturday brunch, a birthday lunch, or any day that needs a little color.

Porch Swing Pie

Lemon Meringue Pie +

Wild Honeysuckle brings its Southern sweet-tea bloom, so the Lemon reads like a fresh squeeze over a cold glass and the Meringue goes soft and floral. The Cream keeps it easy and slow. Wear it to a spring garden party, a baby shower, or a long afternoon on the porch.

Torched Meringue

Lemon Meringue Pie +

Smoked Vanilla brings its smoky, seductive edge, so the Meringue tastes flame-kissed and the Pie Crust goes dark and toasty. The Lemon Curd cuts through the smoke and keeps it bright. Save it for date night, a dinner party dessert course, or the nightcap after.

Lemon Thyme Spritz

Lemon Meringue Pie +

Summer Thyme brings its crisp, herbal sparkle, so the Lemon turns zesty and green and the Lemon Curd reads lighter and less sweet. The Vanilla and Cream stay in the background, soft and cool. Wear it to a pool day, the farmers market, or a backyard cookout in July.

How to Layer: The French Girl Routine

A scent that lasts all day starts in the shower. Same scent, every layer.

Everyday: Close and Personal

  1. Step out of the shower and skip the towel. Smooth Body Oil or Body Butter all over damp skin to seal in the moisture, then let it air-dry while you get ready.
  2. Mist all over with the Alcohol Body Mist for a little more presence, or the Hydrating Aloe Body Mist for a soft, up-close scent at work.
  3. Finish with a spritz of Silk & Aloe Hydrating Hair Mist for a soft halo every time you move. Keep it in your bag to refresh.

Special Occasion: Be Noticed

  1. Start the same way: Body Oil on damp skin, straight out of the shower.
  2. Layer the Alcohol Body Mist all over.
  3. Add the Spray Perfume to your wrists and pulse points.
  4. Finish with Argan Gloss Hair Mist for shine and a trail when you flip your hair.

Caution: Never spray on your throat area or underarms.

Scent combinations are personal. These are impressions to explore; the balance will vary with your chosen formats and application.

Where to Wear It & When to Wear ItTap to open

Wear This To

  • Easter brunch, a lemon curd tart already cut on the sideboard
  • The first warm Saturday, windows open and meringue peaks toasting in the oven
  • A bridal shower dessert table with the pie in the middle
  • The office on a gray Monday, a little lemon to wake everybody up
  • Mother's Day lunch, cold cream poured over the last slice
  • A bakery counter on a Sunday morning, pie crust still warm in the case
  • A summer picnic with a chilled pie wrapped in a dish towel
  • A rainy afternoon with tea and a slice of something tart
  • Any line where somebody turns around and asks who brought dessert

Best Season

Peak season: Spring into early summer. March through June. Mild air keeps the lemon bright and the meringue fluffy, right when brunch season and pie tables come back around.

Also beautiful in: High summer. July and August, when a chilled slice is the whole point. Go lighter with the Alcohol Body Mist so the lemon stays crisp and the curd stays light in the heat.

Works in: Early fall. September afternoons still suit the lemon and pie crust. Wear it over the Body Butter so the vanilla and cream carry it into cooler evenings.

Skip it in: Deep winter. Under heavy coats the lemon fades fast and the cream reads thin. Save it for spring, or deepen it with Torched Meringue in the Layering Lab.

Time of Day

Morning through early evening. Mornings belong to the lemon and lemon curd, the bright first-bite side of it. By afternoon the meringue and pie crust move in, and by evening the vanilla and cream keep it soft and close. Sunny and sweet more than heavy, and easy to wear to work or out.

How to Wear It by Season

Season What to Wear Why
Spring Body Oil after your shower, then the Alcohol Body Mist The oil sinks in soft and creamy, and the mist puts the lemon out front early
Spring mornings Spray Perfume and Argan Gloss Hair Mist The biggest trail on the page, lemon and lemon curd out front for the commute
Easter and showers Body Butter, then the Spray Perfume The butter holds the cream close and the spray carries the meringue across the room
Early summer Roll-On at the wrists and collarbone Warm pulse points bring the lemon curd and vanilla up without too much in the heat
High summer Hydrating Aloe Body Mist and Hair Wave Mist Light and soft, so the lemon and meringue lead and the pie crust sits back
Early fall Body Butter Shimmer and Argan Milk Hair Mist The shea keeps the vanilla and cream on cooler skin, and the hair milk keeps everything soft
